The President of UOITC inspecting the conduct of the final examinations of the Faculty of Business Informatics
The President of the University of Information Technology and Communications , Dr. Abbas Mohsen al-Bakri, conducted an inspection tour of the classrooms for the students of the first stage in the Faculty of Business Informatics. During his inspection of the classrooms, the university president stressed the need to provide students with the appropriate atmosphere and to prepare all the requirements that lead to the success of the process of conducting the quarterly tests and completing them smothly. Al-Bakri recommended the students to persevere and excel in their academic life and to achieve success in the quarterly exams, which is an important step to move to another stage. He added that the country is going through exceptional circumstances and this requires us to be ready as a university and students to be up to the responsibility. The president of the university also mentioned during his tour several things, including the commitment to the specific times of the exam and the need to clarify the questions so that their answers are specific, adding that our university is specialized in the field of information technology, and should be upgraded as an important scientific edifice and students are the basic pillar and development of their scientific capabilities through these scientific tests.
UOITC visits Dar Al-Mahaba for the care of people with special needs
A delegation from the Presidency of the University of Information Technology and Communications visited the Mother Teresa (Dar Al Mahaba) for the care of children with special needs.
On Monday morning, the university delegation visited Dar al-Mahabah where the delegation was briefed on the situation of children with disabilities and the problems faced by the nuns in the house. Most of these needs focused on providing them with the necessary supplies. The visit comes within the framework of the voluntary work program organized by the university and its high sense that it is an integral part of the institutions of the society with responsibilities and duties. The delegation was consisted of the assistant of the president of the university for scientific affairs Dr. Jean Jalil Ateifan accompanied by Dr. Anam Rikan, head of the department of scientific affairs.

The UOITC plans to hold its third international scientific conference on new trends in information and communication technology applications.
UOITC conference is sponsored by Springer, one of the world's leading publishers of books and researches in all fields, including electronic, scientific, technical and medical journals, and hosts a number of scientific databases.
The UOITC will publish the papers of the conference in Springer through CCIS Journal. The conference will be convened in October 2018 under the title (NTICT'2018) "New Trends in Information and Applications of Communication Technology" that the most its prominent points will be about artificial intelligence and computer networks.

Returning the Submission for the Program of (100) Scholarships
Referring to the letter of the department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations for allowing the resubmission for scholarships,
it was decided to return the applying for the program of (100) scholarships
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations had announced the submission for 100 scholarships to obtain a doctorate without going through the master's degree in rare specialties.
Seven seats were allocated to the scholarships for the UOITC, one for university employees and six for non-staff members for a doctorate of rare specialties.

UOITC organizes a workshop on the electronic archiving system
The Office of the Scientific Assistant at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized a workshop on the electronic archiving system for the follow-up of books issued and delivered at the University.
The workshop was presented by Mr. Yahya Zaki from the department of applications at the Information Technology Center and attended by a number of users of the system at the university and its formations.
This system aims to reduce the burden of sending and receiving data and administrative books between the servers, distributing the process of treatment between the beneficiaries and not focus on the server processor and allow it to process data transmission and receipt only without being occupied in other operations. The system works on archiving orders and communications issued and received with copies copied using the scanner, and alerting the delay in answering the orders and correspondence received and the presentation of a letter explaining the number of books and the details (in the order number or address, history).
The system is also able to retrieve the information of stored commands and communications and copies of them when needed, according to (book number, date, and subject), in addition to the possibility of displaying the contents of each order or addressing the research in a way that explains the other commands and communications related to It,in addition to the system has the ability to work on a personal calculator or PC on the network, making it contributes to the service of all sectors. It is worth mentioning that this system, which was designed by the Department of Applications at the Information Technology Center, is used at the University of Karbala, the General Authority for Taxation and other departments. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research also seeks to adopt it in the Iraqi universities and the Ministry's Center for its high efficiency in the field of archiving and follow- Electronic governance.

The University of Information Technology and Communications, in cooperation with the Department of Management of the Ministry of Education, organized a training course on the salary system in the presence of a large number of directors of financial departments of the Iraqi universities and the Finance Department at the Ministry's center. The Deputy Minister for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Attia El-Sarraj inaugurated the training course for the use of financial systems (salaries, accounting, government and unified). The committee was then introduced to the system, including the salary system, which was designed by a team of specialists at the university and IT center in the Iraqi Commission for Computers and Informatics and was subjected to the testing and application of the quality standards of the software product, and this course comes to clarify the advantages of the system of salaries and the way of use on the approval of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and to achieve the principle of electronic governance in the departments of the ministry and Iraqi universities. The system calculates the salary of the final employee after calculating the tax and pension deduction, the allowances and the debts (by type), and the possibility of preparing three types of reports (a comprehensive report of salaries of employees and a report of salaries of a specific employee, as well as monthly budget report). The system has already been marketed to a number of government departments, including the "Financial Department in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the presidency of the Iraqi University and its colleges, in addition to the Iraqi Commission for Computers and Informatics and the University of Information Technology and Communications, and proved the success of the system because of its characteristics, It runs on a network or personal calculator where it provides high flexibility in handling data
A workshop at UOITC to present electronic systems designed by the University
The committee to monitor the evaluation of the work of the software systems in the Iraqi Commission for Computers and Informatics and the University of Information Technology and Communications presented the electronic systems used by the departments of the Commission and the University. The workshop was opened by Dr. Abbas Mohsen al-Bakri, President of the University and the Commission. He said that the evaluation process is continuing to develop programs and electronic systems in order to reach binding recommendations, which aim to develop solutions and follow up the use of these systems and develop them to reach the desired goal. Users and developers were asked to give their feedback about the possibility of merging two or more systems or consolidating databases. " The Committee for the Evaluation and Follow-up" of the work of the systems started its work with a brief presentation of the software systems used by the Commission and the University with a simple comparison in terms of the requirements required for its use, the number of users working on the system, the problems faced by the user, The committee also divided the systems in the light of the access routes, such as the ON SERVER, which is a set of systems designed on SERVER University and the database is one, and the systems ON LINE is the system of extension, human resources and secretarial, and follow-up student and teaching, activities, Magazine system and conference management system. These include DUAL SYSTEMS, a set of systems used by the Commission and the University separately for the database such as salary system, ratifications, scientific promotions, human resources, fingerprinting, retirement, information management, warehouse control, personal file archiving and system automation. Among these systems is SINGLE, which works on a single computer or a set of computers, but in one system such as library system, courses, computer proficiency for postgraduate studies, office system, corporate and others. At the end of the workshop, discussions were opened between the developers and designers of electronic systems and users or beneficiaries. It was agreed to hold subsequent meetings to follow up the implementation of the work of the suspended systems in order to achieve the completion of the work as quickly and effortlessly as possible.
