UOITC President Participates in Panel Discussion of the Board of Commissioners of the Information and Communications Authority
Professor Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, President of the University of Information Technology and Communications , and Head of the Department of Information Technology Engineering, School of Engineering, Dr. Saad Ahmed Thiab participated in a panel discussion entitled
(The age of information technology: Characteristics and Community Impacts) organized by the Board of Commissioners of the Information and Communications Authority in preparation for a conference on the reality of information technology and digital transformation next March.
Information technology professionals and academic professors emphasized the importance of the information technology sector in digital transformation, the building of State technological institutions, the introduction of information systems programs in the provision of public services to citizens and the facilitation of actions in government institutions.
They also stressed the importance of making the means of social digital transformation available and enabling all groups and segments to use them in a manner appropriate to the needs of each individual. Participants in the seminar referred to the important role of the Information and Communications Authority in the digital transformation, the building of an integrated information system, working regulations and regulation of all branches of the information technology sector and the fundamentals of technological institutional building.
