Iraq participated in the twenty-fourth International Telecommunication and Satellite Organization ITSO meeting held in the United States of America.

The Iraqi delegation consisted of the University of Information Technology and Communication (UoITC) president, Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, and the Space and Information Technology Department director at the Ministry of Science and Technology, Dr. Haider Abdul-Zahra.

The participation came after the invitation addressed to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to attend a meeting of the 24th meeting of the Advisory Committee in Washington, DC.

During the meeting, topics related to the development of information technology in the field of satellites were discussed, in addition to future directions of the topic of innovation in the development of cooperation protocols between countries, as well as the development of information and communication technologies in collecting necessary knowledge through satellites.
