Iraq participated in the twenty-fourth meeting of the International Telecommunications and Satellite Organization (ITSO) held in the United States of America.

The delegation of Iraq consisted of the President of the University of Information and Communication Technology, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, Director of the Space and Information Technology Department at the Ministry of Science and Technology, Dr. Haider Abdul Zahra, Based on the invitation addressed to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to attend the meeting of the 24th Advisory Committee in Washington, DC.

During the meeting, topics related to the development of information technology in the field of satellites were discussed. In addition to the future directions of the subject of developments related to the reports of the working groups in the field of developing the mechanism of cooperation between countries, As well as the development of information and communication technology in the field of collecting the necessary knowledge through satellites.
