A group of teachers and students of the University of Information and Communication Technology were honored by the Media and Communications Commission during the annual ceremony on the International Day of Technology Girls.

The university teachers and students were honored for their distinguished efforts and promising projects in the field of technology, as the Media and Communications Commission, in cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union, organized the celebration of the International Girls Day in the field of communications and information technology.

The ceremony took place in the official presence of the Minister of Communications and the President of the Media and Communications Commission. The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, attended this event due to the presence of a group of university teachers who had important achievements in the field of education and scientific research.

It is worth mentioning that this celebration was carried out with the support and coordination of the Women’s Empowerment Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Women’s Empowerment Division at the university, which had an active role in coordinating with the deanships of the colleges to select and nominate distinguished and outstanding women.

This honor comes to encourage female students to continue their efforts and achieve excellence in the field of communications and information technology.
