The Continuous Education Department organized a course on digital media and social media. The course was delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Furat Kadhem from the Department of Media and Government Communication at the university’s presidency. It aimed to familiarize participants with the key features of digital media and the differences between it and traditional media. The five-day course covered the most prominent social media platforms globally, their differences, how to interact with them, and the motivations for their use, in addition to exploring the positives and negatives of these platforms. The course also addressed the elements of successful digital content, steps for protecting accounts, as well as the requirements for professionalism in using social media applications.
