Students from the University of Information Technology and Communications achieved third place in the World University Debating Championship for Iraqi Universities, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in collaboration with the International Academy for Leadership and Development, hosted by Aliraqia University .
Aliraqia University hosted the finals of the debate, where UOITC team competed against teams from Aliraqia University, Ibn Sina University, Al-Rafidain Private University, Al-Mustansiriya University, and Wasit University in the scientific debate competition to win and qualify for the World University Debating Championship for Iraqi Universities.
The University of Information Technology and Communications team composed of students Murtadha Haider Hassan, Mukhtar Haider Hussein, Zainab Ahmed Star, and Iman Mohammed Zahib.
Our university also received the title of Best Debater among the top ten debaters, to the student from the College of Business Informatics Department of BIT (Murtadha Haider Hussein).
The team was supervised by teaching staff of the College of Business Informatics, Asst. Prof. Alaa Talal Yassin, and the head of the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Department, Mr. Radwan Salem Ghanem, served as a judge for the debate rounds.
