Al-Bakri chairs a meeting of the public service reform programme
The president of the University of Information Technology and Communications Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri accompanied by the Director General of the Department of Government Coordination General Policy Section of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Ali Makki, held a meeting to discuss the mechanisms for the implementation of the reform of the public service system in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers within the axes of the administrative reform strategy.
The meeting discussed the fifth axis of the management reform strategy, which aims to develop public services for citizens in coordination with the ministries of the interior, planning, communications and the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
Makki said that the programme's implementation mechanism was through the accounting and implementation of services that could be automated and shifted towards electronic governance through automation and linkage of State institutions.
He noted that this would be done through short-, medium- and long-term plans, and the formation of main committees to implement this aim of the strategy.
Diwani Order Committee 18 of 2021 is to be established under the chairmanship of the Administrative Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning. The Committee is to prepare a strategic plan for administrative reforms in government departments and institutions and simplify the forms of procedures in departments that affect people's lives and contribute to improving the performance of those departments. The Committee shall submit its recommendations to the Council.
