A hands-on major which equips students with real-world skills that are in demand in the job market. Our program prepares students to lead IT-enabled change in organizations.

   The MIS program provides the foundation for students to go in a technical direction (such as a programmer or database administrator), a non-technical direction (such as a business process analyst or project manager), or somewhere in the middle (such as a business intelligence or IT risk & security specialist).

MIS Vision

   The Management Informatics System (MIS) department aspires to acquire a distinguished place among national, regional and international MIS educational institutions. The department is also committed to provide the region with quality teaching through continuous enhancement efforts. 

 

MIS Mission

   The department mission is to provide an appropriate information systems infrastructure to prepare students to function in a technology oriented society and to meet the current and emerging needs of the labor market. It specifically supports teaching, learning, research and administrative priorities through services and systems that are recognized as high quality, reliable and adequate by university users. -

MIS Objectives

    The objectives of the programs at the department are:

•To provide students with up-to-date academic programs of high quality and relevance through excellent instruction, scholarly contribution, and service to students and other constituencies.

•To prepare students for a variety of managerial and professional careers in Information System through innovative programs that integrates theory with practical experience.

•To produce morally responsible individuals who are highly competent in their fields of specialization and well prepared to succeed in a global knowledge.

•To produce life-long self-learners committed to serve their society.
