Business Informatics Participates in Iraqi Families’ Qualification in One of the Refugee Camps
One of the Faculty of Business Informatics’ teachers at the University of Information Technology and Communications participated in the rehabilitation of Iraqi families within the camp “Joda One” in Mosul.
This activity is part of the activities of the Iraqi families, women and children, which take place in the Psychological and Community Qualification Centre and in high coordination with the National Security/Center of Excellence. It aims at implementing advanced specialized rehabilitation programmes through art, activities and dramatic works. It is a qualitative step carried out by a special team of young artists under the supervision of specialized professors.
During the visit to the camp, nessary supplies were distributed from clothing and children’s toys in order to bring joy to the hearts of the children and to alleviate the impact of the camp and its disadvantaged
UOITC with the Ministry of Justice to Consider the Inmate Education Project Expantion Due to Great Success
The Dean of the Faculty of Business Informatics, Prof. dr. Safa Abbis Mahdi, discussed with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Burhan Mezher Al-Qaisi, and Associate Director General of the Iraqi Reform Department, Raed Al-Jadir behind the expansion of the inmate education project.
The meeting examined the obstacles, challenges and successes of last year, which 100% success for students studying in Karkh Central Prison and their transition to the second stage. In addition to providing the necessary possibilities to maintain the success of the project and expand it to include several scientific fields and the largest number of those wishing to complete under graduate studies.
The dean of the Faculty of Business Informatics, Prof. dr. Safa Abbis Mahdi, reviewed during the meeting the most significant obstacles and needs required by the University Education Centre in terms of teaching staff and student data from inmates.
Scientific and Advisory Services Office
Our office is one of the qualitative consulting offices that were established in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research with the establishment of specialized universities with the aim of employing the academic and scientific expertise of professors and engineers in the direction of developing the practice of professional work and achieving a high level of national engineering consultancy in various branches of information and communication technology
The distinguished elite of cadres who have worked in the office since its inception is a group of specialized professors in our university (PhD + Masters + engineers + programmers) and they have accumulated experiences and the breadth of work and the diversity of its forms with the use of modern computer technologies in analysis, design and preparation of requirements that earned the office a reputation Distinguished inside and outside the country.
Attached to the office council are a group of consultants with different specializations who work on coordinating projects and directly supervising the preparation of designs.

The office aims to provide engineering consultancy and scientific and teaching expertise to the public and private sectors and contribute to raising the level of practice of competencies related to information and communication technology, increasing the expertise of faculty members and technicians, and exchanging experiences with corresponding offices and relevant authorities. To do the following:

3- Managing computing projects from consultation to on-site inspection.
4- Design and construction of telecommunications, computer and automation systems and networks.
5- Implementation of information security audit applications.
6- On-site survey.
7- Studying the technical and economic feasibility of projects and preparing relevant research studies.
8- Site management.
9- Providing studies and consultations related to information and communication technology services.
10- Rehabilitation of departments and companies with the total quality management system.
11- Designing and creating advanced portals and websites with modern technologies in the information network (Internet).
12- Training of cadres for the purpose of increasing their expertise and improving their technical, professional and administrative competence through various specialized courses and advanced workshops in coordination.
13- Building scientific relations and cooperative partnerships with the public and private sectors.
Citizens Affairs Division
The Citizens Affairs Department was established based on the directives of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to form these departments in all ministries and their affiliated formations for the requirements of the work interest under Ministerial Order No. 12872 on October 25, 2004 to undertake the tasks of receiving requests from citizens, employees and various students, their complaints and grievances submitted to the honorable Minister or Respected heads of formations and answer them according to the approved controls and contexts, relieve the burden of the citizen, organize the process of receiving complaints and provide the best government services in the care of (citizen, employee, student) alike.
It is a division affiliated to the University Presidency in terms of the organizational structure, and it is concerned with citizens’ affairs, which are related to the university and its formations, and the development of the level of university performance. Three units are connected to it:-
1- Citizen e-government unit.
2- Citizens Complaints Unit and e-mail.
3- Follow-up unit for completed and unfulfilled citizens’ requests.
Division goals:
– This section reflects a civilized state in civilized societies and the state of institutions.
– The division represents the front of the university and the president of the university.
Facilitating and providing the best services to complete transactions (citizens, employees, students) in cooperation with all university formations (faculties, centers, departments) and to overcome the difficulties they face when reviewing.
Activities of the Citizens Affairs Division at the university:
– Receiving citizens (teacher, employee, student, external auditor) and listening to their complaints and referring them to the concerned authority after presenting them to the eyes of the officials.
– Direct supervision of the organization of interviews for the respected gentlemen (the president of the university, the administrative and scientific assistants, the deans of the faculties).
Introducing the citizen to the appropriate legal formulas to solve the problem, the applicable administrative contexts, the decisions and the applicable laws.
Addressing the authority responsible for implementing the request.
– Follow up on all requests and complaints sent to all university formations.
Contribute to the work and entry of citizens’ requests into the citizen’s e-government program that belongs to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
Field visits to all university formations.
– Contacting the citizen about the procedures taken in connection with his request or complaint by phone, e-mail, or review.
– Poll the opinions of citizens (the auditors) and know their suggestions regarding the university’s work.
The application procedure (interview):
Writing the application in a clear and specific manner, taking into account the subject and title of the application. – Writing the full name, address, phone number, e-mail, department or workplace, and the scientific department to which he is affiliated, in order to be able to answer and address the concerned authority.
