UOITC holds a seminar on drugs and its spread in Iraq
The Department of Scientific Affairs at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized a seminar on the spread of drugs in Iraq.
The seminar focused on the causes of the spread of the drug phenomenon in Iraq in recent years, including reducing the punishment of abuse and promotion of the country’s departments and the weakness of intelligence and security follow-up in addition to the spread of corruption in security institutions and government.
The symposium aimed to prevent and combat the drug phenomenon in Iraq, particularly among the young people, stressing the importance of partnership and cooperation between the members of society and the anti-drug management department to protect young people and social groups from the risks of this scourge and its health and social effects.
The seminar also addressed the dangers of drug abuse, including psychological disorders, liver disorders, inability to eat, difficulty breathing and other symptoms.
