The head of the Media Technology Engineering Department participates in the membership of the Ministerial Committee to examine the readiness of engineering colleges in Iraqi universities to obtain the national classification.

The head of the Media Technology Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Information Technology and Communications participated in the membership of a ministerial committee to examine the readiness of engineering colleges in Iraqi universities to obtain the national program classification.

Dr. Ahmad Abdul-Sahib, a member of the Iraqi Council for the Accreditation of Engineering Education in Iraq, was appointed according to ministerial orders, where obtaining national accreditation is one of the objectives of the governmental program of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The Council divided its work according to the program of field visits and the preparation of workshops in the universities where Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Sahib with a number of members of the Council to conduct field visits to a number of universities and colleges, including the University of Mustansiriya and Al-Nisour University College and the Faculty of Engineering University of Information Technology and Communications, which contains engineering sections to stand on the readiness of these sections and the reality of engineering education in Iraq and how to upgrade it with a realistic analytical study.

The aim of these visits is to raise awareness and education to find out the most important requirements for obtaining the national classification of engineering accreditation, where the axes related to access to international accreditation from ABET.
