The College of Biomedical Informatics organized an electronic seminar entitled “Cybersecurity” presented by the two faculty teachers (M. Ahlam Rashid and M. Heba Mohamed Wajih).
The symposium aims to introduce cybersecurity and its importance as it is a system to protect systems, networks, and programs from digital attacks, which is a means to defend computers, servers, portable devices, electronic systems, and data from malicious attacks.
The symposium touched on the nature of digital attacks, their motives, types, sources, and types of cyber threats, and the role of individuals and companies in combating these threats.
The symposium presented a set of facts and statistics about cybersecurity and the increasing risks of cyber-attacks with the spread of Covid 19.
