The College of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized a virtual seminar entitled (Overview of Biosafety and Biosecurity).

The seminar was given by Zainab Salem Jaafar from the Department of BioInformatics, in which she discussed the most important applications and methods to be followed in biological and medical laboratories to maintain safety.

The seminar also included attention to all axes of devices, equipment, materials and infrastructure for the purpose of controlling pollution resulting from microorganisms and according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization, because of their essential role in facing the challenges that the world is exposed to through epidemics and diseases spread as a result of contamination, and the dangers  Biorisk resulting from a lack of concern for safety and biosecurity.
