The Center of Continuous Education at the University of Information Technology & Communication (UoITC) organized the 3rd development workshop within the 3rd phase of the training program of 2023 to help state employees develop skills in electronic automation.
The workshop, titled ” Building a Data Center “, was presented by Dr. Jolan Rokan Nayef, a lecturer at the Iraqi Commission of Computers and Informatics, and Mr. We’am Saadi Hamza, a lecturer at UoITC.
The workshop lasted for five days. The first day dealt with an introduction to data centers and connectivity as a second and third layer, the second day focused on optical cable infrastructures ، the third day was about algorithms for connecting and exchanging data between. The fourth day was dedicated to storage protocols and how to choose the best protocol, and the fifth and last day of the workshop was about data security and types of data center hacking, in addition to identifying the most common types of data center hacking.
It is noteworthy that this workshop was held in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers/ Committee of Coordination and Management of Government Activities for E-Government Training; Development and International Support Team.
