The Continuous Education Center at the University, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers / Committee for Coordination and Management of Governmental Activity towards E-Government / Training, Development and International Support Team, organized the first developmental workshop within the third phase in 2023 of the training program to build capabilities for employees of state institutions towards electronic transformations.

The workshop entitled “Using Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity” was presented by Prof. Dr. Haider Kadhum Hammoud, a lecturer at Al-Mustansiriya University, and was organized over three days from 14-16/3/2023.

On the first day, he dealt with introducing the basics of cybersecurity, personal cybersecurity, how to secure work and confront the types of electronic attacks that could affect the institution or company, as well as promoting awareness of cyber security.

On the second day, the focus was on the axis of artificial intelligence, understanding its basics, and the extent of effectiveness and application of the advantages of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity, as well as the use of artificial intelligence in activating cybersecurity.

In the third axis, the lecturer dealt with machine learning applications in cybersecurity, deep learning applications and smart firewall, indicating  intelligent malware detection systems, and denying penetration of virus attacks, and ways to prevent them.
