A delegation from the University of Information Technology and Communications, headed by Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, attended the closing ceremony of Al-Thaqalayn Award for sacred Quran script at the Holy Abbassie Threshold. During the event, the university delegation met with several officials at the threshold and discussed cooperation, including the recitation project that the university is working on in collaboration with the Holy Abbassie Threshold.

Prof. Dr. Al-Bakri presented the university’s shield to Dr. Mushtaq Al-Ali, in appreciation for the role of the threshold in supporting the educational process in Iraq. Additionally, he presented the university’s excellence shield to the scientific assistant at the Holy Abbasie Threshold, Dr. Luay Abdulhassan.

The university president emphasized that such scientific and artistic activities are important in supporting creators and creating a spirit of competition in arts that were on the verge of extinction, including Arabic calligraphy.
