The University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC)  ranked 17th, ahead of all young Iraqi universities and out of 37 government institutions that were evaluated within the Iraqi classification of universities in 2023.
The classification was announced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
This version of the evaluation, which was completed by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Institute, consists of the evaluation of 95 governmental and private institutions according to the standards of institutional accreditation 20%, international classifications 10%, effectiveness of scientific research 30%, community service 5%, digital advancement 2%, faculty members 10%, awards 5%, and students 5%. %, infrastructure 5%, diversity and international cooperation 5%, and occupational health and safety 3%.

The results of the classification (www.iru.gov.iq) revealed that the University of Baghdad ranked first, then the University of Babylon and the University of Technology at the level of governmental universities, while Al-Ameed University ranked first at the level of private universities and colleges, AlMustaqbal University ranked second, and then the Islamic University ranked third.
