Based on the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research, the Continuing Education Center at the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC) completed the third training course this year for the program of developing and qualifying university leaders and human resources (legal skills axis).
The course lasted for five days, from 5-9/5/2024, and was attended by several department, division, and unit officials at the university and its colleges, who received scientific training. The course was presented by Dr. Muhammad Karim Ali and Dr. Muhammad Abdul Aziz Jabr from UoITC, and Professor Dr. Nawal Tariq Ibrahim from the University of Baghdad.
The course covered many topics related to the legal aspects of government institutions, such as introducing the Law on Discipline of State and Public Sector Employees No. (14) of 1991, as well as administrative investigation, the rights, duties, and prohibitions that an employee in any institution must know.
It also emphasized the grievance time that lasts for (30) days from the date the employee is notified of the penalty; thus the employee has the right to appeal it before the Employee Justice Court within (30) days from the date of being notified.
The course also explained the University Service and Civil Service Law, the skills of drafting government contracts, and finally an introduction to the Intellectual Property Protection Law and its consequences.
The course concluded with a test that the participants took in the presence of members of the supervising committee to get a closer look at the development of the course for university leaders and human resources.
