The Institute of Informatics for Postgraduate Studies witnessed the defense of the PhD thesis by the student Bidaya Jaafar Sadiq, specializing in Computer Science.

The thesis, titled “Improving Encryption with the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) for Securing Virtual Meetings,” proposes a video communication encryption system that relies on a hybrid technique using AES for combined encryption, RSA for secure key exchange, and HMAC for integrity verification. It aims to contribute to the theoretical aspects inherent in the security of video communications and achieve real-world applicability.

At the end of the academic defense, the student was awarded a PhD degree with a grade of Very Good.
