The College of Engineering at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized a reception for new students from the first stage of the new academic year in the presence of the University president.

The reception ceremony, which was attended by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Mu’ayyad Abdul Redha Saheb, the Dean’s Assistants and a number of the College faculty and staff, included the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, and the playing of the national anthem, after which an introductory video was shown reviewing the progress of the College of Engineering, and it’s academic and scientific achievements.
The University President delivered a welcoming speech, in which he praised the college’s efforts and contributions to developing scientific outputs in this specialty, directing the new students towards perseverance and seriousness, and investing their time in developing their academic and personal abilities.
This was followed by a speech by the Dean of the College, who expressed his happiness at the joining of a new group of students, stressing the College’s commitment to providing a distinguished educational environment that contributes to achieving their future aspirations.
After the ceremony, symbolic gifts were distributed to the new students, in an initiative aimed at encouraging and motivating them to begin their academic journey.
