Students Istabraq Thamer and Tabarak Ihsan from the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems at the College of Biomedical Informatics at UoITC participated in the Festival of Development and Creativity.

This participation was organized by the Women’s Affairs Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The Division of Women’s Affairs at UoITC participated in this festival through presenting an innovative project that aims to facilitate communication with people with disabilities to understand sign language.

The project entitled (Sign Language Translation Gloves). This project represented the development of a smart “glove” capable of converting sign language signals into written sentences using advanced programming and technology techniques.

This innovation also reflects the students’ ability to integrate science with technology to find practical solutions that support society, enhance the opportunities for deaf and mute people to communicate with others. It is a vital model of creativity and excellence in the field of smart medical systems.
