Sponsored by the German publishing house Springer, the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC), in cooperation with Al-Mostaqbal University, organized its eighth international conference on (New Trends in Information and Communications Technology Applications).
The Chairman of the Preparatory Committee of the conference; the President of UoITC , Professor Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, welcomed the guests, personalities and researchers, pointing out the importance of AI and information technology in our current era to increase productivity and efficiency in the world, focusing on how to make use of the research papers in AI in the future. He also stressed the commitment of the university in offering help to all state institutions throughout intensive training and creating applications.
The representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Salah Al-Fatlawi, praised the efforts of UoITC in keeping pace with digital technological developments in light of the rapid changes in the world.

Al-Fatlawi praised the efforts made by the President of UoITC in employing modern technologies that allow state institutions to benefit from them. He also praised the partnership between the University and Al-Mostaqbal University for the scientific outputs it yields that serve the process of technological development.
The representative of the Al-Mostaqbal University Dr. Bayan Mehdi Sabbar delivered a speech in which he expressed their happiness as a university to be part of this conference that brings together bright and innovative minds from all over the world to exchange ideas and experiences and the possibility of achieving new visions that contribute to enhancing academic and research cooperation.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mahmoud Al-Rubaie, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners at the Communications and Media Commission, stressed the importance of current generations in keeping pace with the digital revolution and not repeating the mistakes of previous generations due to their failure to keep pace with the industrial revolution, the effects of which still remain to this day.
He also stressed the need to intensify and unify efforts at this critical stage so that we can provide generations with what opens horizons of knowledge for them.
Advisor to the Prime Minister for Education Affairs and Civil Society Organizations, Dr. Waleed Al-Hilli, expressed his happiness for holding the conference, which contributes to achieving significant results in developing society and protecting it from the violations that threaten societies due to the incorrect use of science and technology.
Al-Hilli stressed the importance of scientific integrity in using technology and that science should serve humanity for better future.
After that, the first keynote speak Mr. Muhammad Hadi delivered his lecture on improving heterogeneous networks using machine learning, while the second speaker who gave his lecture remotely, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Rigal, focused on the impact of artificial intelligence on human decision-making.
Then the scientific sessions of the conference began, during which the researchers presented their research papers accepted at the conference and the professors’ interventions.
