As part of strengthening the academic presence of the University of Information Technology and Communications in international scientific forums, Dr. Maysa Ahmed Abdul Karim, a faculty member at the College of Biomedical Medical Informatics (CBMI), evaluated and reviewed five scientific research papers published in prestigious international scientific journals classified within the first quartile (Q1) and indexed in the Scopus and Clarivate databases.

The scientific reviews included the following journals:
• Computers in Biology and Medicine (Elsevier / ScienceDirect), with an Impact Factor of 6.3 and a CiteScore of 13.0. The journal specializes in advanced medical research that employs computing, artificial intelligence, and bioinformatics.

• Malaria Journal (BMC / Springer Nature),With an Impact Factor of 3.0, it focuses on malaria research at the molecular, clinical, and field levels, with an emphasis on developing innovative medical solutions using artificial intelligence and bioinformatics.
