The President of the University of Information Technology and Communications, Prof. Dr. Mohsen Al-Bakri, participated in the launching ceremony and forum of Robot and Artificial Intelligence Clubs, which was hosted by Al-Farabi University in cooperation with the Sippar Organization for Digital Economic Development, under the patronage of the Prime Minister, “Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Artificial Intelligence,” Eng. Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani.
During the first session of the forum, which discussed the modern visions and strategies for applying robotics and artificial intelligence, Al-Bakri stressed the importance of unifying efforts and enhancing joint work at the national level to move towards the actual application of artificial intelligence technologies according to a specific timeline, stressing the need to approve the national strategy for artificial intelligence to ensure its application in various sectors such as agriculture, industry, and others.
Al-Bakri pointed out that the current experiences in this field are still in the experimental stage and not integrated programs, noting the importance of specialized scientific research in artificial intelligence and its role in developing this sector.
Al-Bakri announced during his speech the date of the third annual national forum for artificial intelligence, which will be held by the University of Information Technology and Communications on 2025-2-27, under the slogan “The World of Artificial Intelligence with Applied and Research Features.”
