The President of the University of Information and Communication Technology, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, received in his office today a technical team from the Al-Abbas’s Holy Shrine.
This visit came to discuss the latest developments in the “Holy Quran Recitation Project”, which the university previously presented with the aim of teaching the Holy Quran and facilitating its memorization and recitation for trainees,up close or far .
The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, confirmed that the project depends on providing an integrated electronic platform, in addition to a website and a special application for smartphones and tablets, as this system simulates traditional mosque sessions for reading the Quran, providing an interactive and comprehensive experience for users. The project includes teaching the rules of recitation and audio tones, in addition to legal and doctrinal issues related to the Holy Quran.
This project comes as part of the university’s efforts to support religious and cultural institutions by providing advanced technical solutions that are compatible with the needs of the modern era. Through this project, the university confirms its pioneering role in supporting religious and educational institutions, as it contributes to providing various services in its field of specialization, which enhances its position as a strategic partner in developing technical projects with a great societal impact.
The university had handed over the project to the Al-Abbas’s Holy Shrine after its completion, which reflects its commitment to providing innovative solutions that contribute to spreading science and knowledge, and enhancing religious and cultural values in society. This project is a model of fruitful cooperation between academic institutions and religious institutions, as technology contributes to serving educational and religious goals in an effective and innovative manner, and this comes within the implementation of the seventeenth goal of the sustainable development goals, which is to establish partnerships and cooperation.
