The College of Biomedical Medical Informatics(CBMI), in cooperation with the University’s Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Department, held a training course titled “Measuring Student Learning Outcomes According to the ABET Methodology.” The course was attended by the college’s Quality Unit and the quality committees of the scientific departments.
The course was delivered by the Head of the University’s Quality Assurance Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussein Abdul-Redha, who presented the fundamental principles of the ABET methodology for assessing learning outcomes, the mechanisms for linking educational program outcomes to approved objectives, as well as evidence-based measurement methods and the documentation models required within the accreditation system.
The training program included a practical explanation of the steps for implementing ABET standards within academic departments, as well as guidance on preparing continuous improvement plans. It also featured a discussion of the leading practices adopted to ensure academic quality in educational institutions.
