The College of Engineering at the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC) organized a welcoming ceremony for first-year students for the academic year (2025–2026).

The ceremony was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Moayad Abdul-Ridha Sahib, and with the participation of the Student Activities Division and the Media and Public Relations Division.

The ceremony commenced with the playing of the national anthem, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha. The Dean welcomed the new students, emphasizing the college’s commitment to providing an advanced educational environment and preparing engineers equipped with scientific and practical skills that meet the needs of the labor market.

The event included a promotional video introducing the college’s establishment, its departments, and its modern laboratories, in addition to showcasing distinguished alumni. The heads of the Departments of Communication and Mobile Computing Engineering and Media and Communications Technology Engineering also delivered speeches, in which they highlighted the nature of the academic programs, future opportunities, and the role of academic advising in supporting students throughout their university journey.

The ceremony concluded with the first-year students taking the engineering oath as an expression of their commitment to professional values and the beginning of their academic path. Commemorative gifts were then distributed to the students, followed by a group photo to document the occasion.
