Three deans from the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC) participated in the meeting of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Computer Science and Mathematics in Iraqi Universities. The meeting was hosted by the University of Mosul. It was attended by the Dean of the Institute of Informatics for Post-Graduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Suha Muhammad Hadi, the Dean of the College of Business Informatics, Prof. Dr. Nagham Hamid Abdul Mahdi, and the Dean of the College of Biomedical Informatics, Prof. Dr. Intisar Shadid Al-Majbali. The meeting witnessed a discussion of the most prominent scientific issues and ways to develop academic specializations, as the attendees stressed the importance of integration between modern technological specializations and the fields of computer science and mathematics. They stressed the need to enhance academic cooperation between Iraqi universities to keep pace with rapid scientific and technological developments. This meeting came within the framework of the efforts of the Deans of Colleges Committee to develop academic curricula and enhance scientific research, which contributes to improving the quality of higher education in Iraq.
