The Institute of Informatics for Graduate Studies organized an awareness seminar on drug prevention in conjunction with the launch of the Iraqi Week for Drug Prevention.

The seminar was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Safi, in the presence of the Dean of the Institute, Professor Suha Mohammed Hadi, and a group of the Institute’s staff. The seminar discussed the health and social risks of drug use, as well as its negative impact on community stability and security.

The lecturer highlighted the important role that state institutions and universities should play in raising awareness and promoting a culture of prevention, emphasizing that reducing the spread of drugs requires joint efforts and broad cooperation between families, schools, and the community.

During the lecture, he pointed out the necessity of enhancing early awareness among young people and creating supportive environments that contribute to protecting students from falling into this phenomenon, noting that effective confrontation starts with spreading knowledge and building awareness and sound behavior.
