A discussion of the master’s thesis by the student (Hussein Salam Ali) took place at the Institute of Informatics for Graduate Studies. The study was conducted in the field of Computer Science and is titled:
“Prediction of Cyber Attacks Using Machine Learning Techniques.”

The master’s thesis explored the importance of the initial stages of data processing and feature selection in intrusion detection systems, aiming to build scalable, reliable, and efficient systems. The proposed methodology emphasizes comparing models in detecting cyber attacks by leveraging the power of machine learning and deep learning. After discussing the research project and the results achieved by the researcher with the head and members of the discussion committee, the student was awarded a master’s degree with a grade of Very Good.
