The College of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Information Technology and Communications held a scientific awareness lecture entitled “Radiation Dose Management and Leakage Accident Response,” presented by Lecturer Fatima Qasim, as part of the college’s activities aimed at promoting a culture of radiation safety.

The lecture aimed to raise participants’ awareness of optimal radiation dose management mechanisms and methods for a rapid and safe response to radiation leakage incidents, thus contributing to the protection of workers and reducing negative environmental impacts.

The lecture also addressed the importance of achieving a balance between the medical or industrial benefits of radiation use and minimizing potential risks, in accordance with approved radiation safety standards and regulations.
