The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, honored the President of the University of Information Technology and Communications, Professor Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, along with the researchers with the fifth edition of the Al-Aiyn University Award for Academic Research.

The honoring took place during a special ceremony held for this occasion, during which the Minister praised Dr. Al-Bakri’s distinguished scientific and administrative efforts, stressing that the Ministry support to the path of scientific research and academic excellence.

In his speech, the Minister of Higher Education emphasized that the Ministry pays great attention to scientific research, which has prompted it to sponsor many scientific events and awards. He pointed to the great achievements of Iraqi universities in the field of global publishing and community service.

The event included speeches by the President of Al-Aiyn University in Iraq, Dr. Haider Abdul-Amir Marhoon, and the representative of the Elsevier Foundation in the Middle East, Dr. Diaa Medhat, in addition to a speech by the representative of the award-winning researchers, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Haider Abded Dahd
The ceremony concluded with the Minister honoring the winning distinguished Iraqi researchers and top researchers from Iraqi universities. He also thanked those in charge of the Iraqi Al-Aiyn University Award, considering it as an important platform for stimulating sustainable scientific innovation.
