The Administrative and Financial Affairs Department, in cooperation with the College of Engineering and the Continuing Education Center at the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC), organized a workshop entitled “Improving the Health Care Quality Through Registration in Health Insurance,” as part of the university’s efforts to spread awareness of the importance of health insurance and its role in developing the level of health services provided to citizens.
The workshop was presented by a group of university lecturers, Anas Sajid Hassoun, Hisham Gamal Abdel Latif and Haider Jaber Miteb. During the presentation, they discussed the basic concepts of health care quality within the health insurance system, and explained the registration mechanisms and the steps followed to enter data correctly to ensure that subscribers receive accurate and organized health services.
The lecturers also discussed the importance of health insurance as one of the systems that support improving the level of health care, by providing financial protection to citizens, organizing services, and ensuring that beneficiaries have access to appropriate care at the right time and in accordance with clear quality standards.
The workshop included extensive dialogues and discussions between participants about the role of health insurance programs in promoting health equity, in addition to exchanging experiences and ideas on best practices to improve services within health institutions.
