The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at the university held a workshop titled “Global Academic Rankings: Key Concepts and Evaluation Criteria,” presented by instructor Dr. Qusai Shahab Hamad.

The workshop addressed the importance of global academic rankings and their role in enhancing the university’s academic standing and reputation on an international level.

During the workshop, a comprehensive overview of the most prominent global academic rankings was provided, including QS, THE, ARWU, UI GreenMetric, Times Impact Ranking, and RUR. The discussion also covered the working mechanisms and methodologies specific to each ranking, with a focus on key criteria such as education quality, scientific research, international collaboration, and sustainability.

The workshop emphasized the importance of developing the university’s academic and research performance according to these standards to achieve significant progress in global rankings.
