The College of Engineering at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized a scientific lecture entitled “Engineering for Sustainable Development: Innovating Today to Build a Better Future ”, in the presence of a number of faculty members and students of the College.
The lecture, presented by Lect. Dr. Ola Adel Qasem, addressed the vital role of engineering and innovation in achieving sustainable development, noting that the engineer no longer plays a traditional role, but has become an active element in shaping a more sustainable future and building a developed society based on knowledge and technology.
The lecturer pointed out the importance of integrating sustainability principles into modern engineering systems and promoting scientific research aimed at creating practical solutions that serve society and the environment, stressing that engineering innovation today represents one of the fundamental pillars in building a better future.
At the end of the lecture, emphasis was placed on supporting scientific and knowledge initiatives that contribute to the development of academic and research performance, and on strengthening partnerships that keep pace with recent evolution and contribute to achieving the goals of sustainable development, in line with the University’s vision towards leadership and excellence in the fields of modern technology and engineering.
