The College of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized a field visit to the Child Protection Hospital affiliated with the Medical City Department. The visit aimed to support children with cancer morally and financially, and to provide for their basic needs to alleviate some of their suffering.
The visiting delegation was headed by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Intisar Shadid cheleib, accompanied by a number of faculty members. They were received by the Director General of the Medical City Department, Dr. Hassan Al-Tamimi. During the visit, the proceeds from the charity bazaar held by the college for the benefit of the children were distributed, along with gifts provided by the Volunteer Work Committees affiliated with the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Health.
This initiative was held in cooperation with the Volunteer Work Committees at the Ministry of Health and the Prime Minister’s Office, as part of joint national efforts to promote the values of humanitarian work and social solidarity. During the meeting, avenues for future cooperation between the college and the Medical City hospitals in the educational and healthcare fields were also discussed.
This visit embodies the college’s commitment to its social responsibility and its commitment to supporting the most vulnerable groups, contributing to improving the lives of sick children and boosting their morale.
