As part of enhancing the applied knowledge of university students, the Industrial Advisory Council at the College of Biomedical Informatics organized a scientific visit to the National Data Center of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
The visit aimed to inform students about the most important national digital projects and to familiarize students and faculty with the “Ur” electronic platform. The visit reviewed the most important government services provided through the platform and its vital role in activating e-government and facilitating communication between government institutions and citizens.
The visit included a field tour to view the center’s digital infrastructure, including the advanced server system used for managing and storing data. Students received a technical explanation of the operating mechanisms of these servers, how to secure them, and how to ensure their continued operation.
The visit focused on linking theory with practice and enhancing students’ skills in digital and information technologies. This step achieves two Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 4 and Goal 17, which concerns quality education and partnerships for achieving the goals.
