A postgraduate diploma project on detecting kidney diseases using neural networks was discussed at the Informatics Institute for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Information Technology and Communications.
Student Fatima Haidar Muhammad demonstrated through comparison her research entitled: “Detection of Kidney Diseases by using Neural Networks“.
This study also presents a comparative analysis of three machine learning classifiers – Artificial Neural Networ (ANN), Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Decision Tree (DT) – for diagnosing chronic kidney disease based on clinical signs.
After the discussion of the higher diploma project by the members of the discussion committee, the student obtained a higher diploma with an excellent rating.
