The Institute of Informatics for Graduate Studies at the University of Information Technology and Communications discussed a master’s thesis on using secret sharing to protect various types of documents by student Ahmed Basil Majeed.
The thesis, titled “Using Secret Sharing to Protect Various Types of Documents between Groups of Individuals,” was presented in the Computer Science major.
The thesis presented a scheme for sharing secrets to protect various types of documents between groups of individuals. The scheme consists of two main stages using Shamir secret sharing: first, the distribution of secret files, and second, the reconstruction of the secret file.

After a scholarly discussion by the chair and members of the examination committee, the study was accepted, and the student was awarded a master’s degree with distinction.
