With the support of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al Aboudi, for the efforts of the University of Information Technology and Communications (UoITC) in developing its university formations by establishing new academic colleges and specialties. The Assistant Vice President of the University of Informational Technology and Communications for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Al Mashali, conducted an inspection tour to the former location of the University Channel.  He was received by the Assistants of the Dean for Scientific and Administration Affairs in the College of Arts at University of Baghdad.

The tour aimed to see the building’s status and evaluate its eligibility to accommodate part of the new colleges that the university obtained the approval of the Minister to proceed with its establishment, namely:

– College of Artificial Intelligence Engineering

– College of Data Science

– College of Computer Science and Information Technology

– College of Information Security and Cybersecurity

Al Mashali confirmed that this visit comes within the framework of the initial preparations for the implementation of ministerial decisions with our parent universities in Baghdad, noting that the University of Information Technology and Communications is working to provide the requirements for the launch of these colleges that keep pace with modern technological developments.
It is noteworthy that these new majors will contribute to provide the local and regional market with specialized competencies in the vital digital fields, in line with the Ministry’s vision to develop higher education.
