The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announces that it has initiated formal legal proceedings against two satellite channels involved in defaming Iraqi higher education institutions by deliberately promoting inaccurate media material that directly harms the reputation of national universities and lacks professional standards and established references. In this context, the Ministry renews its commitment and keenness to protect the status of Iraqi higher education, and to support the efforts of its academic institutions in international scientific forums, and warns against promoting inaccurate or undocumented content, especially those issued at times that target the status of Iraqi universities, which have deservedly achieved international accreditation from globally recognized accreditation bodies and have attracted more than three thousand international students from forty-seven nationalities.
