As part of the awareness efforts undertaken by the College of Biomedical Medical Informatics, and in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, the college organized an extensive scientific seminar titled: “Recovery Organization from Drugs and Its Role in Reducing the Risks of Substance Abuse.” The seminar, presented by Mr. Issam Kachish, President of the Recovery Organization, and Dr. Hanaa Saleem Ghanem, addressed the important role that the organization plays in supporting recovering individuals and rehabilitating them psychologically and socially to reintegrate into normal life. The discussion also covered the reasons behind the prevalence of substance abuse among youth, including real-life examples and stories. The seminar aimed to raise awareness about the role of the Recovery Organization in mitigating the dangers of this phenomenon and its severe consequences on individuals, society, and institutions
