The Continuing Education Center at the University of Information Technology and Communications completed the third training course for the University Leadership and Human Resources Development and Qualification Program (Legal Skills Track) this year.
The course covered several topics related to the legal aspects of government institutions in general and universities in particular. It introduced the State and Public Sector Employees Discipline Law No. (14) of 1991, as well as administrative investigations. It also covered the rights, duties, and prohibitions that employees in any institution should be aware of. It emphasized the grievance period of (30) days from the date of notification of the penalty, with the employee having the right to appeal it before the Civil Service Court within (30) days of notification. The course also explained the University Service Law and the Civil Service Law, government contract drafting skills, and finally, introduced the Intellectual Property Protection Law and its implications.
The training course was presented by Dr. Muhammad Karim Ali and Dr. Muhammad Abdul Aziz Jabr from the University of Information Technology and Communications, and was attended by a number of department, division, and unit heads at the university and its colleges. The course concluded with a test for participants, attended by members of the supervising committee, to gain a firsthand insight into the developmental course for university leaders and human resources.
