At the invitation of the National Security Advisory, Dr. Ali Hassan Tarish, a lecturer at the University of Information Technology and Communications and Assistant Dean of the Informatics Institute for postgraduate Studies, participated in the interactive workshop titled “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Crisis Management”, which was held at the Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies.
Dr. Tarish’s participation came through an axis entitled “Digital transformation changes crisis management”, where he explained during his intervention that digital transformation represents an integrated integration of technology into all aspects of institutions, which is a pivotal factor to adapt crises by enhancing communication channels, analyzing data accurately, and supporting rapid decision-making.
He also showed that employing technologies such as artificial intelligence, social media monitoring, and real-time data analysis enables faster and more effective responses and enhances institutional flexibility, ensuring business continuity during and after crises.
This participation by university professors comes within the framework of the university and its teaching staff’s openness to scientific and intellectual activities that contribute to develop knowledge and enhance the role of modern technology in confronting contemporary challenges.
