The University of Information Technology and Communications participated in the Public and Private Universities Tennis Championship, which concluded on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. The championship was held on the playgrounds of University of Baghdad / College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in the Al-Jadriya area, with the participation of 82 universities and colleges from all over the country.

The university was represented by four players, including two male and two female students from the College of Business Informatics, who showed outstanding performance during the competitions that lasted from February 22 to 26, 2025.

The university delegation was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Imad Kazim Abd AL- Kaabi, while Dr. Hassanein Majeed Hassan took over the training function, and Dr. Muhammad Saeb Fadel supervised the team.

The participation of the University of Information Technology and Communications comes as a part of its sports activities for the second semester of the academic year 2024-2025, which reflects the university’s keenness to support students athletically and academically.

It is worth noting that this championship has not been held for 15 years, which consequently added special importance to this participation, which is the second for the University of Information Technology and Communications in this prominent athletic activity
