Under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Mr. Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, the second “Riyada” conference and exhibition was held, which is considered one of the most prominent events supporting the entrepreneurship sector and emerging projects for Iraqi youth.
The University of Information Technology and Communications participated in the exhibition activities by displaying the university’s technology incubator projects, which is the emerging company “Supernova”, founded by student Osama Latif Faisal and concerned with providing digital services and innovative software solutions to support digital transformation in institutions, and a company specializing in medical systems for student Ali Safaa Jumaa, which is concerned with organizing the patient’s chart and following up on him. The two companies received the Leadership Shield for the year 2025.
The exhibition witnessed a tour by the Prime Minister during which he viewed the participant’s pavilions, including the university pavilion, where he praised government support policies for youth projects and technical innovations, stressing that the “Riyada” initiative represents an important step in empowering young people and transforming their ideas into productive economic projects.
The University’s participation is represented by the official of the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up section ,Asst.prof.Dr. Alaa Talal Yassin and the head of the Technology Incubator section , T.A. Sudair Sadiq Abdul Jabbar and a number of students at this event emphasized its role in fostering innovation, supporting technical entrepreneurship, and strengthening the relationship between the University and the business sector in a way that contributes to building a knowledge economy based on creativity and digital skills.
