The President of the University of Information Technology and Communications, Professor Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, held an extensive meeting with the University’s teaching staff, in the presence of the assistants and deans.

In his speech, Dr. Al-Bakri emphasized the University’s pioneering role in preparing its students to serve as models of knowledge, behavior, and responsibility toward society. He noted that the University is continuing to implement digital transformation and academic expansion projects to become eight colleges in accordance with its future plans.

He stressed the importance of the SIS (Student Information System) as an essential tool in developing academic and administrative performance and facilitating communication between students, teachers and administration, calling for a commitment to updat data and follow it up accurately.

The University president stressed the importance of taking into account moral values and allocating part of the professors’ time at the beginning of each lecture to raise awareness of the dangers of moral, social and religious deviations and to establish principles ,morals, respect and love of the homeland.

Al-Bakri pointed out the importance of activating research and development activity and effective participation in conferences and scientific journals, stressing that the next phase will witness greater openness and interaction with society through scientific and community initiatives.

The meeting included interventions by the assistants and deans, who presented visions and proposals to develop university performance and achieve the university’s strategic goals.
