The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Biomedical Informatics, University of Information Technology and Communications, held a seminar entitled “Encouraging Women’s Participation in Iraqi Legislative and Local Elections.”

The seminar, presented by Lecturer Rana Abdul Hamid Hadi, aimed to highlight the importance of women’s participation in the electoral process as a fundamental step towards achieving balance in political and social representation, as well as consolidating a culture of citizenship and equality in rights and duties.

The seminar also addressed the most prominent challenges facing women’s participation in elections and the importance of awareness of their influential role in shaping public policies and making national decisions, emphasizing that women’s active participation reflects the maturity and progress of society.
