The University of Information Technology and Communications celebrated the graduation of its seventh batch of students for the academic year 2023-2024, “Cycle of Knowledge and Construction,” in a grand central ceremony that brought together academic figures, families of graduates, and guests, making it a special occasion crowned with a new achievement added to the university’s journey.
The ceremony began with official parade proceedings, where the university council, teaching staff, and students from the three colleges entered the celebration hall. This was followed by the awarding of diplomas to graduates by the university president, Professor Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, and the scientific assistant, Professor Dr. Luay Adour George. The graduation oath was then recited, reinforcing the spirit of belonging and responsibility among the graduates.
The event included honoring the top students at both the university and college levels, in recognition of their academic excellence and fruitful efforts. It also featured various segments, including poetic speeches and a word of appreciation from a representative of the graduates, in addition to an inspiring testimony from one of the distinguished students who benefited from the university’s community program. He spoke about his experience at the University Education Center in Al-Karkh Central Prison and how this initiative helped reintegrate him into society as an active university student.
The ceremony concluded with commemorative photographs that captured the joy of the graduates and their families, marking the end of a day filled with pride and hope for a promising future illuminated by knowledge and construction.
